Gray-Head Coneflower is a native wildflower that attracts diverse types of pollinators and also attracts birds who feed on its seeds. American Goldfinches are noticeably a top bird visitor of this plant. Grey-Head Coneflower is drought-tolerant, is long-lived, and is adaptable to many different soil types. Its high ecological value and easiness to grow make it a top choice for pollinator gardens and restoration projects alike. The plant has also been used historically by humans for medicinal purposes.
